What is a battery pack in an EV?

A battery pack in an EV stores and supplies electrical energy to power the vehicle’s electric motor. It consists of multiple battery cells arranged in series and parallel configurations to achieve the required voltage and capacity. These cells are grouped into modules and assembled into the final battery pack, as shown in Figure 2. Figure 2.

How a battery pack works?

In the battery pack, to safely and effectively manage hundreds of single battery cells, the cells are not randomly placed in the power battery shell but orderly according to modules and packages. The smallest unit is the battery cell. A group of cells can form a module. Several modules can be combined into a package.
